Nike held the “on air” design competition in 2018. I participated in the competition of Greater China division and reached the national final9. We ended up with a series of air designs in Shanghai.
“Take part in Shanghai” is my design theme. I use vapormax plus as the design prototype, and designed a heart immersed in a tank. I put the people of the city as cells and city as the heart, just like Shanghai is where people from all over the world come together to contribute their power to make the city so dazzling.
In the design of shoes, I hope there will be more personalized elements, then I used some translucent materials for the upper. I hope people wearing the vaprmax plus can show more of their own elements, for example, the sock pattern will not be hidden any more, and more free play space is available for people to match their socks. Echoing my theme in the meantime, I hope people can participate in this design. I used red, yellow and blue as the decoration for midosole, because all the colors come from these three colors. They are the foundation, just like all the brilliances of Shanghai, actually come from every ordinary effort.
